Instructions
- 2 inches fresh turmeric root (or 1 tsp turmeric powder)
- 1 inch fresh ginger root
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1–2 tsp honey or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup water or coconut water
Notes
- Prepare Ingredients: Peel turmeric and ginger roots, then juice the lemon.
- Grate or Blend: Grate the turmeric and ginger into a blender or food processor.
- Combine: Add lemon juice, honey (or maple syrup), black pepper, and water (or coconut water) to the blender.
- Blend: Blend until smooth and fully combined.
- Strain: Strain the mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a jug or bowl, pressing gently to extract all the liquid.
- Serve: Pour the shot into shot glasses and serve immediately for the freshest flavor. Store any leftover liquid in the fridge for up to 3 days.
