- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 packet active dry yeast (2 ¼ teaspoons)
- ¾ cup warm milk (about 110°F)
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 large egg
For the Cinnamon-Sugar Topping:
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- ¼ cup melted butter (for brushing)
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Activate yeast in warm milk with sugar. Mix with flour, melted butter, and egg to form a soft dough. Knead and let rise for 1-2 hours.
- Shape and Coat: Roll out the dough, brush with melted butter, and generously sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
- Assemble & Bake: Fold or roll the dough, place in a loaf pan, and let rise again for 30 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 minutes.
- Glaze & Serve: Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over the warm bread before serving.
Notes
For extra flavor, add chopped pecans or raisins to the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
