- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1 tsp sugar
- ½ tsp chili flakes (adjust for spice preference)
For the Garnish:
- ½ cup chopped fresh mint
- ½ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 2 tbsp finely chopped shallots
- 2 tbsp toasted rice powder (optional, for authentic texture)
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook until no longer pink.
- Stir in fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and chili flakes. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and mix in shallots, mint, and cilantro.
- Sprinkle with toasted rice powder for crunch (optional).
- Serve warm or chilled with lettuce cups or steamed rice.
Notes
For a gluten-free option, replace soy sauce with coconut aminos. Adjust spice level by modifying chili flakes.
